Who's related to who?
Everyone seems to be either called Ann(e), or related to the Walkers, or both. So, if like me, you're confused as to who's related to who, here are some family trees showing where everyone fits in.
Each individual is shown with their residence (in real life), dates of birth & death (or age at death), and their date of marriage (where relevant). Orange boxes indicate being mentioned in the diaries and appearing in GJ; green boxes indicate being mentioned in the diaries (work in progress).
The Walkers, the Priestleys & the Edwards
Ann is related to the Priestleys on both her mother's and father's side:

The Rawsons & the Saltmarshes
Ann is related to the Rawsons through the marriage of the daughter of her first cousin John Priestley (brother of Willam Priestley) to Christopher and Jeremiah's brother William Rawson:

The Atkinsons
Ann's aunt Elizabeth (Edwards) was married to Law Atkinson. The
"cousin Atkinson" who wanted to borrow £1,000 from Ann in
Gentleman Jack was probably Edwards; Charles emigrated to Argentina some time before 1833 (not that his absence would necessarily prevent him from asking for the loan):

Vere Hobart
I've recently seen a
tweet from @SRiocain that links the Walkers to Vere Hobart, Lady Stuart and the de Rothesays, via the Priestleys and the MacLeans. An amazing coincidence.
And
another from @SRiocain, identifying Vere Hobart as being Isabella Norcliffe's 5th cousin.
